About our venue

The Grand is one of the most incredible live performance spaces in the north of England. The alchemy between artist and audience is heightened by the intimacy of the room and the clarity of the acoustics. Artists love performing here. We set high standards in production, always ensuring that artists and participants have the best possible stage to express their talent.

A former Victorian cinema, The Grand is a Grade II listed building and was transformed into a groundbreaking performing arts venue in 2008. We have welcomed legendary artists from all over the world to perform here.

The Grand’s programme of live events is devised to gather communities and inspire audiences. We are surrounded by young creatives in music and media, who inspire our developing programme of new music and film. We proudly partner Burnley College to support their higher education and degree level music and music production qualifications as well as work alongside a breadth of local musicians, artists, tutors and creatives to deliver the activity that surrounds our venue.
