Stereo Press
Stereo Press are The Grand’s youth led programming group, offering 16-25 year olds the opportunity to come together to book and arrange music events in Clitheroe. The group gain industry experience in event management, marketing, sound production and gig promoting whilst being mentored by The Grand’s Events and Marketing team.
In 2022 The Grand were approached by local musician Zak Burgess, who was passionate about giving young people both a platform to perform and a way of experiencing diverse music acts without having to travel to a city.
“We want to further the music education of the youth in the Ribble Valley through event organisation, creative discussion and live music. The group aims to cultivate and build a youth music scene of our own that represents today’s culture.” Zak Burgess, Group Founder, aged 18
Since then the group have gone on to arrange several gigs, bringing acts such as Deafhaus, Strangely White, British Birds and Agbeko to Clitheroe. The group hope to create a regular schedule of events in 2024, supported by The Grand and Arts Council England funding from Ribble Valley Jazz and Blues Club.
