GRAB

“GRAB – the Event” is the brainchild of The Grand’s School Forum – involving students from Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, Ribblesdale High School, St Augustine’s RC High School and Bowland High School. Forum members came up with the concept of a talent competition, featuring contestants from all four of the area’s secondary schools.

Each school holds their own talent show in the Autumn term before school winners move forward to semi-finals at The Grand. The final takes place in front of a capacity 250 audience at The Grand in the Spring term. It really is a showcase of local talent both on and off the stage as it also provides an opportunity for young people to get involved in every step of the event planning, promotion and delivery. Pupils also learn to develop their public speaking skills, presenting a local, national and international charity to the audiences and raising money for each of the chosen charities.
